The second group of swatches are from the Bejeweled Collection, which is currently available for pre-order and will start shipping October 1st. This collection will be permanent. Sneak Peek! Darling Girl Cosmetics "The Black Collection"

Double blog post today! This time I have another sneak peek of an upcoming Darling Girl collection for you. Also set to launch sometime in September with the "Who Ya Gonna Call?" collection, "The Black Collection" is based of of the popular TV show Orange is the New Black. I"m going to be honest and tell you all that I have never actually seen the show. I'd like to see it, but without access to a decent internet connection, I can't use anything like Netflix to get caught up on the series :( Not seeing the show isn't going to stop me from loving these new shades though, even if I don't get the meaning behind their names!

Keep reading for the swatches!

Just a heads up-there are four shades that will be included in this post that are not available for purchase :( If I can come up with some alternatives for them, I will add them in later. EOTD: A Painted World

Hey everyone! Today I just have a quick EOTD post for you featuring A Painted World from Darling Girl Cosmetics. Yesterday I decided to inventory all of my DG eyeshadows, and I realized that I have never actually used this gorgeous shadow- I only swatched it! Have you ever done that before, bought something and totally never got around to using it?

For the crease and highlight I used some shadows from the Lorac Pro Palette 2 (Buff to highlight, Light Brown as a transition shade, Cool Gray in the crease, and Navy right in the socket to add depth. I also used a bit of navy on the outer lower lashline.) Then I applied Darling Girl's A Painted World on the lid wet, using MAC Fix+. On the lower lashline, I applied A Painted World dry. I also used a little Darling Girl Whitelighter in the inner corner, its a super gorgeous silver! Liner is my  usual Urban Decay Perversion.

Hope you all enjoyed this quick little post! :)

Sneak Peek! Sugar Skull Minerals 'Young Love' Collection

Hey everyone! Check out how many times I've actually blogged this month! Crazy, right?

Anywho, today I am excited to share some swatches with you of Sugar Skull Minerals newest collection called 'Young Love.' Vicki was kind enough to send me some samples to share with you, but you can get your hands on these pretties starting July 11, 2014, and it will be a permanent collection. This gorgeous collection includes 11 eye shadows and four blushes!

Let's check out the goods!

First up, we have the blushes. From top to bottom: Like a Virgin, Heart Throb, Sweet Cheeks, Make Me Blush.
These blushes are silky smooth and pigmented. I only used the tiniest amount for these swatches and blended them out. A little will go a long way with these!

And the eye shadows: Faithful, I Heart You, Hickey, Prude, Promise Ring, Picnic in the Park, Sugar Bear, Smooches, Under the Bleachers, Spin the Bottle, XOXO.
So. Much. Awesome. These shadows are seriously so amazing. They are so pigmented and full of gorgeous shimmer and sparkle. And Spin the Bottle-can you say super awesome duochrome?!?!

This is definitely another Sugar Skull collection I'll be purchasing! Everything is so stunning and there are no duds, in my opinion.

Are you as excited about this collection as I am? :)

Also, I think I need a thesaurus, lol.

Sneak Peek! Darling Girl Cosmetics Paper Runway Swatches

Today I have swatches for you from the upcoming Paper Runway collection, due to be released on June 28th. This collection is a collaboration of three awesome indie companies: Darling Girl, Chinovi, and Glamour Doll Eyes. I only have the Darling Girl portion to share with you, but I am definitely excited to see what the other two companies came up with for this collection!

The Darling Girl Paper Runway collection includes six eye shadows and two blushes. My swatches include the shade Gilt Trip, which was an extra sample I got...might as well swatch everything, right?

From left to right: Gilt Trip, Frock Star, Make it Work, Model Walk, Mod Me Up, City Chic, Fashion Disaster, Kandy Kouture (Inner Glow Blush), It Girl (Soft Focus Blush).

Here are Kandy Kouture and It Girl blended out.

And finally, I have a quick look I put together using Frock Star, Make It Work, Mod Me Up, and Gilt Trip. :)

EOTD: Sugar Cosmetics

As promised, today I have an eye look for you done with the Sugar Cosmetics Smoked eye shadow palette. I also used the Sugar Cosmetics Line'a'licious liquid eye liner that I purchased.

I used all four of the powder shadows in the palette, but I did not use the glitter cream. I wore this look to work and did not want to have to worry about potential creasing. The shadows performed very well. They went on smoothly and were very easy to blend without being blended away into nothing. The liner on the other hand did not perform as well. I was very disappointed because at first swatch, the liner really impressed me. However, while applying on my eyes for this look, the liner started to dry out before I even finished one eye. I don't know if this liner would fare better on days where you aren't going to be wearing any shadows, but it certainly didn't do well over top of them. Sadly, the liner found a new home in the trash after completing this look.

Other products used for this look include Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate and Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

First Impression: Sugar Cosmetics

Hello everyone! Today I bring you my first impressions of a few different products from Sugar Cosmetics. Sugar Cosmetics is a makeup line connected with the Sugar Shoes brand. I had heard of Sugar Shoes before, but did not know they had a line of cosmetics until I spotted them on Hautelook. Since everything on Hautelook is marked down, I figured it would be a good opportunity to try out the brand. According to the Sugar Shoes website, these products are available for purchase from Kohl's and Amazon at a price point only slightly higher than most drugstore brands. This post is just my first impressions based on my swatches-stay tuned for another post with a more in depth review!

The owner, Vicki, was kind enough to send me some samples to review for you guys. I have a few swatches to show you of eye shadows and blushes that are currently available for purchase, as well as swatches of the upcoming Pool Party collection that is currently available for pre-order from the Sugar Skull Minerals Etsy page, which you can find here. UD Electric Palette Dupes?

When I saw this look by xsparkage, I was like OMG I NEED this palette! Then, I remembered my low buy and decided to try to recreate the look with shadows already in my collection. It's not an exact match, but the colors looked similar enough that I was pretty happy with the result.

I used Sugarpill's Acidberry, and Unhinged, Noise, Vice, and Chaos from the UD Vice palette, as well as Shellshock from the UD Vice 2 palette.

...and then the palette launched, and I just couldn't help myself. I ordered the Electric palette.

So I decided I would recreate xsparkage's look again, this time using the same exact colors.

When I compare my two pictures side by side, I can see how much darker/deeper my dupe look is. However, I still like my dupe look a lot.

Do you need the Electric palette if you have similar colors? Probably not, but if you're a bit of a UD hoarder like I am, you'll probably end up getting it anyway lol.

Hello everyone! Today I have a swatch post for you featuring the newest Darling Girl Cosmetics collection, One Hit Wonders V.1 The 80's! Each shadow was inspired by a popular song of the 80's. I wasn't alive during the 80's, but I will admit I love the music!

Pink Sapphires and Black Diamonds

For today's look I broke out the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette and tried to recreate on of the looks in the tutorial booklet that came with it (I LOVE when companies include tutorial books!). I added a little Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre on the lid for some extra sparkle. (ignore the redness at the outer corner of my eye, my skin is a little irritated today)
